Schtonk

Schtonk is primarily a comedy, deriving its humor from the audacious and absurd real-life hoax of the Hitler Diaries. Therefore, Humor, Joy, and Happiness are the dominant emotional responses, as the audience is entertained by the satirical portrayal of the falsifiers and the gullibility of the media. The 'Crime' aspect introduces elements of Anxiety for the perpetrators as they navigate their deception, and Surprise and Curiosity as the elaborate fraud unfolds and is eventually exposed. There's also a degree of Anger or Disgust at the historical revisionism and the audacity of the hoax, tempered by the comedic tone, and ultimately Relief and Satisfaction when the truth comes to light.
