Animal Farm

Despite being categorized as 'Comedy' and 'Family,' Animal Farm (1999) primarily elicits strong negative and somber emotional responses. Audiences experience significant Sadness, Empathy, and Melancholy as they witness the tragic downfall of the animals' utopian dream and the suffering under a totalitarian regime. Anger, Fear, Anxiety, and Disgust are prominent due to the pigs' betrayal, oppression, and the inherent injustice. While there are fleeting moments of initial Joy and Hope during the revolution, these are quickly overshadowed by the dark and Disturbing turn of events, with any Humor being largely satirical or ironic rather than lighthearted.
