The Ruins

The Ruins primarily evokes intense Fear, Anxiety, and a sense of the Disturbing as a group of friends become trapped and systematically terrorized by a malevolent, sentient plant life. The audience experiences strong Anticipation and Surprise through the escalating threats and gruesome body horror, leading to feelings of Disgust and Sadness for the characters' grim fate. Initial Curiosity and Excitement quickly give way to despair and dread.
