Despite its 'Animation, Action, Adventure' genre tags, Berserk: The Golden Age Arc III - The Advent is overwhelmingly defined by its descent into profound horror and tragedy. Audience emotional responses are dominated by a strong sense of 'Disturbing' due to the extreme gore, body horror, and psychological torment of the 'Eclipse' event. This is coupled with intense 'Sadness' from the immense loss and betrayal, and significant 'Fear' and 'Anxiety' as characters face horrific and inevitable fates. 'Disgust' and 'Anger' are also prominent, directed at the perpetrators of the atrocities. While initial scenes might evoke some 'Excitement' and 'Anticipation' during the rescue mission, these are quickly overshadowed by overwhelming despair and a deep sense of 'Melancholy' as the story culminates in a devastating and traumatic climax. 'Empathy' for the suffering characters is also a significant response.
